Harrison McGeever and his wife were found hiding in a self storage garage by Ephraim Goodweather. They said that they have a disabled son. As the Vampires started to attack the self storage, they tried to escape by following Nora Martinez.

When they got to the bread truck, one of the Strigoi infected Harrison McGeever and the another strigoi got his wife. Vasiliy Fet was about to execute them when Ephraim Goodweather decided to use them to help find a cure. The next day Ephraim Goodweather tied them up in quarantine beds so that he could study their transformation. Ephraim Goodweather injected the genetically-engineered virus in to his hand. A few days later Harrison Mcgreever turned. Ephraim Goodweather, Nora Martinez and Vasiliy Fet brought Harrison with them to test out the virus. He was released near a Brooklyn subway station, but stayed in close proximity to monitor the progress and propagation of said virus. Vasiliy Fet followed him to a hospital. When they arrived, the infected strigoi had bulbous lesions on there face as a result of their contact with Harrison McGeever. The next night Harrison is found lying against a wall, dead.

Then Ephraim Goodweather saw all the infected Vampire (Strigoi), jumping of the roof of a building, to their demise. The implication being, the Master is aware of the plan, and he drove his minions to their death to prevent the spread of the infection to the other Strigoi under his control.
