Captain Doyle Redfern was an airline pilot employed by the Regis Airlines company. He was the pilot on a routine flight inbound from Berlin, Germany. Notably, his is the plane which is involved in an incident where, upon landing, it goes into radio silence and all crew and passengers are unresponsive.
Redfern was the first fully cooperative patient that stayed under the care of medical supervision throughout his entire "metamorphosis", until trying to feed on Eph and his crew when he was put down by Ephraim Goodweather.
